WHY AM I RUNNING FOR TRUSTEE?
Vote for Herman Viloria Separate School Board, Mississauga Ward 2 & 8
"In my opinion, the top issue is Student Success."
In the current and next post-Covid school years, many challenges face Dufferin-Peel Catholic School Board and by extension our parents, students, teachers and school staff. The foremost challenge in my opinion is STUDENT SUCCESS.
How can we ensure student success for our students after such a significant interruption in their education?
I wish to bring the Board of Trustees a hands-on perspective from one who has been in the classroom as a teacher and an adminstrator in various schools for 37 years, interacting with all education stakeholders.
To meet these challenges I can help formulate innovative solutions by drawing from my firsthand experience working in Mississauga and Brampton schools and communities with small and large enrolments, composed of a rich mix of heritages, races and cultures.
As well, my prior experience in a non-academic setting as a business owner in the past will be an added asset.
